TUES - 6.30

Our new kicks for the fall. I know it is only June but I found a store that had tons on them at a great price. It was a big win for mom!

MON - 6.29

She is all too eager to help all of the time. Tonight she wanted to help daddy with the yard work.

SUN - 6.28

I think it is so special how much Miss M loves being with our friends. Whenever she pretends to be talking on the phone it is with Mr. Ross or Miss Jeana and she gets so excited when we tell her that Mr. Doug and Miss Maranda are coming over. There is even a toy in the house that she knows really belongs to Jack (their dog) rather than Kenzie. This picture may help explain some of her fondness for them. Way to be a good sport Mr. Doug...your new hairstyle is beautiful!

SAT - 6.27

My view from the kitchen tonight...words cannot express how much I love to see this special bond between a daddy and his daughter.

FRI - 6.26

These girls can't help but giggle when they are together! We are so thankful to have these wonderful neighbors!

WED - 6.24

Today we went to the free splashpad in town for the first time. It took Miss M some getting used to, but she did manage to get her feet a little wet. Hopefully by the end of the summer she is will brave enough to run through it all!

TUES - 6.23

We have been talking to Miss M about what would become her new Big Girl room for months now. We have been able to convince her to nap in the room once about a month ago but she wasn't willing to sleep it in later that night. We didn't want to force the issue since Little One #2 is not due for over three months yet. Today, however, all of this changed. She decided she was ready for the change. Together we spent the afternoon moving her stuff from the nursery to her new room. We are so proud of our big girl!

MON - 6.22

We found yet another reason why the new island is a wonderful addition to the kitchen. Today Miss M used the new space to help mom make some delicious banana nut muffins.

SUN - 6.21

Happy Father's Day! To celebrate, we drove out to Grand Haven to enjoy some yummy food at the Morning Star Cafe. Breakfast of course had to start with a giant, delicious cinnamon roll. We love you so much Daddy!

SAT - 6.20

Some before and during kitchen remodel comparison photos. We still have to pick out the tile backsplash but it is almost done!

FRI - 6.19

All those little marks are jelly fish. This picture was taken from about 30 feet up from the water on the pier. There were fishermen all around us catching at least 5 baby sharks during the ten minutes we were standing there. Is there any wonder why I am not comfortable with big bodies of water?

THURS - 6.18

This is about the closest we were able to get her to the ocean the whole week even though we spent a couple hours at the beach each day. If we were to have had another week we might have been able to actually get her in the water.

TUES - 6.16

The look on her face says it all! Thanks Uncle Ray and Aunt Debbie for the new bubble machine. We love it!

MON - 6.15

Today we went to the Ripley's Aquarium in Myrtle Beach. Miss M was more than excited to see her most favorite creature...the turtle!

SUN - 6.14

A new way to pass the time as we were waiting for food today. She thought she was pretty cool!

SAT - 6.13

Miss M's first experience with face painting. She was all for it at first but it didn't last long. She was in tears before the painter was done and we had to take it off almost immediately.

THURS - 6.11

Today we went to the Humane Society of West Michigan to celebrate the opening of the new cat addition. It was great being able to support daddy in his role on the board. Miss M loved all of the cats (especially the kittens).

WED - 6.10

Last day of school shenanigans! Thank you Mr. Cash for being such a great sport!

TUES - 6.9

Time for the annual end-of-the year class trip to the zoo.

MON - 6.8

She is entertained by the silliest things while driving. Today it was putting on her sunglasses upside-down.

SUN - 6.7

Miss M's big girl room is coming together. It would just be nice if we could convince her to sleep in here. She took a nap in here once last month but hasn't shown any interest in doing so since. We don't want to force the issue until she is ready. Maybe this summer we will have more success.

FRI - 6.5

She was showing off her babysitting skills by laying her Baby Ruth down on the couch, pillow and blanket and all. She is going to make a great big sister!

THURS - 6.4

Miss M always wants to try to eat using chopsticks whenever she see us using them. Just recently we found this set of toaster tongs that she can use as her own set of chopsticks. She was so proud to show off how she could pick up and eat a strawberry all on her own!

WED - 6.3

Just enjoying the blooms of my second favorite flower in the yard. The peonies are blooming like crazy this year and I am loving it!

TUES - 6.2

Daddy with the apple of his eye! Their smiles were contagious.
