WED - 9.30

Grandma Gayle and Grandpa Bob snuggling Kenna for the first time. Mara couldn't part with her for very long and got right in on the snuggles!
Grandma and Grandpa Woodard and Aunt Bethany came for the visit too! Everyone can't wait to cuddle with Kenna.

TUES - 9.29

Welcome to the world Makenna Lynn! Contractions started last night right before putting Mara to bed. We ended up heading to the hospital around 9 and she was born just a little after midnight. It was quick, painful, and wonderful all at the same time! We are so thankful that little Kenna is here and healthy! We are officially a family of four!
Mara was so excited to meet her new sis when she came to the hospital to see us later in the day. She ran straight to the couch in the corner and announced that she was ready to hold her. After she eagerly washed her hands, she couldn't touch her enough. The icing of the cake was when a nurse, after being told about Mara's new obsession with Doc McStuffins, passed Mara her stethoscope and let her listen to Kenna's heartbeat. Just another example of how awesome the nursing staff is at our hospital!

MON - 9.28

I got some one-on-one quality time with my Mara girl tonight. I love my happy girl!

SUN - 9.27

I am pretty sure I know all of the words to the song that this bunny sings. Who knew that Easter songs are great all year long...

SAT - 9.26

Some attempts at a family photo to send to Aunt Nancy to wish her the happiest of birthdays!

FRI - 9.25

The leaves are starting to fall but that doesn't stop this family from enjoying some time outside while the weather is still enjoyable. I just love Mara's expression in the second photo. She is starting to like making goofy faces more and more for the camera. Just another side of her silly personality!

THURS - 9.24

My crafting elective is in full swing again this year. This mask is just a sample of the creativity and craftiness of my students. I love teaching this class at the beginning of the year!

TUES - 9.22

About an hour after her bedtime Mara's monitor started lighting up. We listened in to hear her singing "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" to herself. We couldn't help but smile at her sweet little voice. This was definitely a first and was just so cute!

MON - 9.21

Corey and I got to have what might be one of our last nights out before Lil' Miss' arrival at the Goodwill Awards tonight. We weren't able to get a photo of the two of us together but it was a nice change of pace to be together, just the two of us. I love this man and am so proud of how hard he works and how much he believes in Goodwill's mission.

SUN - 9.20

Today we got to spend time with almost all of both of our families celebrating our soon-to-be little bundle of joy with a "sprinkle." Mara was so excited to have all of her cousins together with her. We are so thankful to have such a wonderful family who all love our Lil' Miss as much as we do!
Grandma got to stick around for a bit after all of the celebrating and was able to read Mara her bedtime story this evening. Such a special moment caught here.

SAT - 9.19

More soccer adventures! This was the first time Mara actually said her name with the "Magic Name Ball." I could hear it loud and clear from the stands and I was so proud of her!

FRI - 9.18

There cylindrical spider webs keep showing up and I am curious about the type of spider that is making them. Not curious enough to investigate of course...I am not sure I really want to know.

THURS - 9.17

I planted these hydrangea bushes three years ago and finally saw some blossoms on them this year. The color they are turning with the cold weather is just beautiful!

TUES - 9.15

This is the evidence that was sent to me of Daddy sharing his love of hammocks.

MON - 9.14

Her smiles are so contagious and I can't get enough of her snuggles!

SUN - 9.13

Recently Dad and Mara have found some wild blackberries along some trails at a local park. Today Mara wanted to share this adventure with her pregnant Mama. Even though I needed some help putting on my shoes and lacing them up, it was a great morning to have an adventure!
On a sidenote - This is what happens when Dad and Mara wander off in at Marshalls. She has refused to take the tutu off! More proof that she has Daddy wrapped around her adorable little fingers.

SAT - 9.12

We had such a fun day today! There are just too many pictures to share in just one collage. Mara always loves to look at the animals at the local pet store. This bird was particularly entertaining today. He kept trying to bite Mara's hand through the glass and her giggles could be heard around the store!
We then traveled over to Motmans for the first honey crisp apples of the season and they did not disappoint!
We finished the night celebrating a big MSU victory with our neighbors. GO GREEN!

WED - 9.9

Someone first helped Daddy fix his lawn mower and then did the same to her own.  It is so cute to watch her mimic him. She was even walking back and forth on the sidewalk right along with him as he cut the grass.

TUES - 9.8

Mara and Mama on the first day of school. She was my breakfast buddy for the morning.
First day of school flowers from my sweetie!

MON - 9.7

Someone just thought this looked like too much fun. It quickly makes you realize how much Mara has grown and how small #2 is going to seem when she makes her arrival next month.

SAT - 9.5

Soccer class started up again today. She listened to her coach so well! I was such a proud Mama. She also did such a good job and loved every minute of it. I'm so happy we found something special for us to to with her this fall with her baby sister on the way.

FRI - 9.4

This humidity is so intense! This was Mara's solution to dealing with the heat. I have to say it was appealing to me as well.

THURS - 9.3

It was a double band-aid night but she was still all smiles.

TUES - 9.1

Mom had an school open house to be at tonight so Mara got to hang out with Daddy. I was later told that she ate 5 pieces of watermelon while enjoying the heat and humidity outside.
