MON - 10.31

Trick-or-Treat!
This is the nicest weather we have had for Halloween since I can remember and I have never seen smiles this big on Mara's face. She had the best time running from house to house (or running into Grandpa Woodard's arms when her little legs couldn't keep up). Grandpa was more than happy to be her chariot!

SUN - 10.30

Pumpking Carving Day! I was so proud of Mara! She worked so hard to cut each and every piece of the cat face out all by herself.

SAT - 10.29

This ball toy has become the family favorite at the moment. Kenna just figured out how it works this weekend and is having the time of her life!

FRI - 10.28

Getting Kenna ready for Halloween by having fun in her costume. Something tells me it isn't going to be an issue for her...

THURS - 10.27

Mara showing off the newest skill she has learned in school this year by cutting paper with her Daddy with real scissors. She is loving school this year and comes home with new things to sing or tell us about all of the time.

WED - 10.26

Great Grandma Ruth gave us our new favorite toy and cuddle friend. Pup-pup has been getting all of the hugs since being home.

MON - 10.24

She is my little Mama's girl through and through and I am not complaining!

SUN - 10.23

We stopped at the aquarium on the way home, as is tradition. Mara was much more comfortable with the sharks and Kenna was obsessed with the stingrays. This aquarium is a great and necessary stop on the way home.
Both girls were tuckered out after the aquarium and for the last leg of the journey home.

SAT - 10.22

Fitting in a lifetime of memories in just 24+ hours. The girls were so good driving out here and loved spending time with Great Grandma Ruth and Aunt Donna.

FRI - 10.21

Ready or not Great Grandma Ruth...here we come! Tonight we loaded up and started our road trip to see Great Grandma Ruth a few states away. Hopefully this goes better than our return trip from Florida back in April. Sassy pants here is a little excited and has always been a great traveler.

WED - 10.19

Mara had loved books since the beginning but Kenna cannot sit still long enough to enjoy the story. This picture perfectly captures what Kenna thinks books are good for at the moment.

TUES - 10.18

Mara's first school pic! How did this happen already?
3 year old Preschool

SUN - 10.16

Kenna is getting too big to go in the baby carrier and has been moved up to the backpack carrier. This means Mara now hikes like a big girl. Tonight we attempted this for the first time. To help her be brave, Mara hiked with a flashlight and couldn't have been more excited. Between puddle jumping, catching frogs, and the silly turkey we spotted up in a tree, it sure was an adventure!

SAT - 10.15

This morning we went a very carefully found pumpkins for every family member that passed Mara's strict approval process!

FRI - 10.14

Noodles are a favorite of this one! And are always followed by a bath!

THURS - 10.13

This girl's faces crack me up! She brings so much joy to our life!

TUES - 10.11

So I guess both girls have a shoe obsession at the moment! Mara felt like such a a big girl while she was clanking around the kitchen tonight.

MON - 10.10

Kenna is obsessed with pulling all of the shoes out of the basket (little stinker!). It looks like we are going to need to find a new doorstop.

FRI - 10.7

Having your babysitter living in the basements has its benefits! Hoping for more date nights this year.

TUES - 10.4

I couldn't help but chuckle when I checked on Kenna through the monitor tonight. I have never seen her sleeping in this froggy pose before. Te he he!

MON - 10.3

Mara's school hosted a night at a local pumpkin patch. We thought that we would be able to ride on a tractor wagon, look at some pumpkins, and eat a donut (Kenna's favorite part). Never in a million years would I have imagined that we would get Mara on the zip line! We didn't even talk to her about it... she just watched other kids trying and enjoying it from the side line and asked her Daddy if she could give it a try. She amazed us with her curiosity and bravery, and she LOVED it! We were so proud of her and were smiling right along with her. Go Mara!

SUN - 10.2

Mara's newest obsession is wearing pajamas that match her sister. Each night she digs through her pajama draw looking for just the right pair. Tonight's match up was purple with white polka dots!

SAT - 10.1

YESSSSSSSS! First honey crisp apples of the year! They are so delicious!!! Annual fall trip to Mottmans is in the books.
